This will be in the art show at Anime Expo 2005 this weekend, for anyone interested!Well, it's Cloud from FF7: Advent Children.....and, well, I'm not sure what else to say about this.
I tried some different coloring techniques with this one, and I think I prefer this style more than my old ways since it seems to take much less time to color stuff (this one took about.....5 hours? 6 hours including how long it took to save the thing....), and it looks more realistic. I've been wanting to draw something Advent Children-related for a long time, but just never really got around to it. Anyway, nothing too special about it in terms of creativity--just lifestream and half a head. :]

I haven't found many pictures that capture Cloud's particular stare quite right. I also like the way the lifestream almost flows with his hair, so it is truly a part of the whole image.

Nice glow effect - the skin and the Lifestream.
Cloud looks quite effeminate, but in a good way. (I always think of him as a pretty-boy anyway, what with the whole crossdressing extravaganza!)

It looks really great and all, especially the colors. However, Cloud seems a little feminine here. I'll be honest, I thought it was someone else when I saw the thumbnail n.n But I can see this is Cloud and you do a good job with the realism here :^)

I really love how you've done the lifestream, it looks awesome! The compostition is really great too.
I do think cloud's skin looks browner than in the movie, but the way you've made his lips look so shiny is amazing!
