OH MY GOD, I FINALLY FINISHED THIS. IT TOOK ME TWO WEEKS LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE, I'M SORRY.This is the first of a few christmas gifts I plan to upload for friends on DA. Although unless I get some super drawing adrenaline and work non-stop, the rest of them will probably only go up after the holiday in question. Anyway, this first one is for , because his characters are too badass for me not to draw. From left to right for those who aren't familiar, there's Agatha, Dieman, and Captain Maim.
Part of the reason for the delay was having to fix Agatha's anatomy, which looked really, really bad before. Now I'm still not sure it's great, but at least she looks marginally more human than before. [link]
I also tried doing the whole dramatic lighting thing with Maim. I still need practice on it, but it was an interesting thing to experiment with.
Anyway, hope you like it!

This is pretty dang epic, it's like they're standing in the middle of a big damn battlefield, with the ground all torn up around them, which is once again eerily close to a story element. H-HAVE YOU BEEN READING MY STORY NOTES?? >.>;
I think the lighting on Main is pretty intense for sure, and your redo of Agatha's pose looks pretty nice, she definitely looks like she spent the most time under the pen.
Let's see, now it's my part of the job, offering critiques.... On places like Maim's neck you should look at some references, muscles are generally difficult to do but a guide always helps me: [link] The muscles of the neck kind of stand out on either side of the jaw and slant inward from there to arrive almost together at the base of the neck/collarbone area, as seen in the linked example.
Dieman's arm is mostly the bars for the upper arm, then the big cylinder for the forearm... seeing his scythe makes me think I should go back and redefine how it looks, though. I've just never been a fan of the scythe as a weapon, it's super impractical, fitting his character aside.... anyways, the rest is kind of your Chris style so I won't critique it any further. It's a pretty epic picture though, my man! Great stuff!
And thanks a TON for this, it's super cool of you and prompts me to ask you if you have any characters you'd REALLY like to see a picture of. Tomasi and Rollo probably, correct?

What, really? That's like the third time now I've accidentally gotten some detail right that I wasn't aware of. I assured you, I didn't look at your story notes at all this time. I don't think I even combed your page for refs this time. I just used stuff from both you and Toast that I had saved on my computer.
Good to hear it looks better. I was all done the lines and then I looked at it again and I was like "Holy hell, what's wrong with her arms?"
Hah, yeah. I'm still not particularly good at drawing the super-muscled types. I need to start looking at more western comic stuff for that. MY ART IS TOO ANIME. Anyway, yeah. As for Dieman's arm, I was just under the impression that the cylinder made up the area where his wrist should be, and he had some kind of big mechanism at the shoulder that would allow it to bend and turn. But maybe that's just my imagination running wild.
AND WAIT, I HAVE A STYLE? NEWS TO ME. My dad said my work looks kind of like the art from Scott Pilgrim and I didn't really see it, but maybe there's a bit of subconscious influence there.
Is Dieman's style more based on speed? Because if so, you could take a page from Death from Darksiders 2, and have the scythe split into two smaller ones, one in each hand. I'unno, spitballin' here. I think it's still pretty cool though. I always liked guys who used scythes as weapons, even if they're super-impractical. Something about those big awesome sweeping swings.
I wasn't really expecting anything in return. I just kind of drew this because I felt like it. It just happened to be around christmas, so I had an excuse. You got that big story thingy to work on! But I can't stop you if you insist...
