The LEEK was true!
I spent way too long on this guys!
Like many others in the Pokemon community I've been rooting for Farfetch'd to get an evolution or alternate form for a long time, and especially after fans learned that during the development of Pokemon Gold and Silver a scrapped Pokemon design in the form of "MADAME" was initially planned to be an evolution to Farfetch'd.
Fittingly after 20+ years Farfetch'd has finally received the evolution he so desperately deserves!

Sirfetch'd is ugly compared to Madame.
And it makes me angry that a lot of people will now draw ugly Sirfetch'd instead of gorgeous Madame.

It is true that Madame should have made the official Farfetch'd evolution l, but then again I am still pretty proud that Gamefreak finally gave Farfetch'd any kind of evolution, the poor guy has been living in the shadows all these years. :c

There's a lot of other Pokemon without any evolution still.
Like, Articuno doesn't have the Evolution, Zapdos and Moltres don't have any evolution.

Those guys are legendaries, they could maybe get mega evolutions one day, but a regular evolution is highly unlikely.

Tbh I would've loved it even more if Farfetch'd had 2 separate evolutions for each game, kinda like Rockruff, just so it would at least have some potential in the other game, like maybe an evolution more focused on defense since Sirfetch'd seems to be focused more on offense, what with that big fuckin sword they gave it.Β
Hey, who knows, maybe Nintendo will give us another leek for a different Farfetch'd evolution.
also wtf they could've totally had Madame as a Kalos Pokemon since "Madame" is a title for French women, and it could've also been maybe a normal/psychic type since Madame is also used as a title for fortune tellers

That is true, that at the moment it is a little disappointing to have Sirfetch'd be a Sword exclusive Pokemon, but for now people are speculating most likely at least one other Pokemon from a previous generation will get the same treatment, so like maybe a more defensive evolution for a Pokemon like Dunsparce for example.
Who knows though, anything is possible.
And now that you mention it, yeah not having Madame be a revisited Pokemon design for Kalos is a bit of a missed opportunity.

Honestly having Dunsparce get a Galarian form, or even just an evolution like Linoone got, would be cool because I feel like it's such an underrated Pokemon. Now I'm wondering if this new Ponyta we just got is gonna be version exclusive too.

Honestly I think Dunsparce being some kind of dragon type would be cool, like maybe a ground/dragon, considering it's design is based off of the tsuchinoko, which literally translates to "child of dirt", so maybe at least some sort of ground type evolution at least? Make it ground/flying, it doesn't have wings for nothingΒ

I know that's the thing with Dunsparce, I've heard so many great suggestions for evolution possibilities.
Even dragon/fairy would be a really cool idea for Dunsparce's hypothetical evolution.
Gamefreak please....give Dunsparce a reason to continue living. πππ
