It took some research on those things to understand the physics ofย cams and wheels, but at the end i am happy with the result.Modeled with blender, rendered with cycles

For months now I've been trying to design and build a hybrid compound bow using the Modern Compound Cam design and the Oneida Kestrel riser to form a similar bow to this for my dream compound bow....and now that I've seen the embodiment of this dream....I have to say your design is BRILLIANT!!!!! Absolutely brilliant! Bravo to you

The only question is: what is the weight of the springs, because that would let you determine the pull weight. You have what appears to be a 3:1 mechanical advantage on the pulleys, so if the springs were 150 pounds of compression, the pull would be 50 pounds.

Looks very similar to the "Blade Runner" which was out a few years ago before it died of death, just missing the 3rd pair of cams. However, I do have one thing to criticise, and that is that you forgot the peep sight

i haven't seen a 3 cam system on a bow. a peep sight would have been a great litle feature....to late now

i used an image of a compound for the proportions, the wheels and cams on it. It is good to have some orientation

For a second I thought it was an actual object. Impressive - I am rarely a fan of digital pieces, they just look hopelessly fake 99% of the time. The only details where the texture is not quite working for me are the feather wings on the bolts (arrows? too long to be called bolts? not sure) and the lens. But the brass parts look fantastic!

Arrows! Well it is a feather texture, i could do a feather but that would look like the 99%. I love the lens, it makes it spezial, it makes the difference, it puts it in a scenario of your imagination...or that what i hoped it would do.Glad you like the rest
