wait a minute.......... she's on Thomas's branch line, pulling Thomas's coaches, working to Thomas's schedule........... and she doesn't know who Thomas is?
bit of clarity might help here........

Well, as can be seen here, Tink's very reluctant to talk to any engines at this moment. And since she's the first engine to get steam up in the previous story, she'd take the first train of the day, as a sort of trial. You see a fair number of 656's class mates were used as branchline engines, minor modifacations such as an extended coal bunker for longer trips is fairly noticeable.Β
As I said, years of being left alone in pieces and all the talk and snark comments of volunteers who "aren't exactly keen on continentals" might just break her mentally a little bit.
Does that clear things up?

actually joe tink have never been used for branchline works, so it would be fairly new to her when she came to the NVR and even when she would have worked on thomas' branchline. When you might have heard about F-class' being used for branchlines workings then thats somewhat true, but that was the Mk. 3 F's and tink is a Mk 2. Though i wouldn't say she havent been used for longer trips, i've seen pictures of one of her classmates pulling a local goods from Nyborg to Odense on Funen, a fairly long run for such a little engine, so thats why i think she would've been built with bigger coal bunkers, surely to extend the range, but thinking about the pulling capacity of the F 2 then i might think its more to extend the duration of her work rather than the distance.

I like how befuddled Gordon is with Tinks's design, nice how you referenced her parts to other Sodor engines
Another person said this characterization of Gordon is better fitting to his side lined situation , though knowing him he'll outlast the competition...
Oh, I feel for Tink, she's in a completely un-familiar place again ... But she's as charming as ever

"Taw..mas?" awwww, sounds like one of my cousins trying to say Thomas! >u<
But anyways, a nice little Gordon meets Tink storyΒ Joe! x3 I must admit even though the Gordon you portrayed in the story may not match the grand type he is I must admit this version is better, especially for how old he is and like your story says being in Semi-Retirement, or side lined. plus too Gordon has been drawn and coloured quite well too, especially the bit of framing at the front and the boiler shape. well done ^^ can't wait too see the Knatford harbour part x3

yeah true, we all change over time, especially with being replaced with something you're not a s good as, you then have to think realistically about it then! x3 and I look forward too seeing her take on the station pilot duty! x3

Well I've been told that Danish are unable to speak proper english if they have not done it for a while, my idea being that she hasn't exactly spoken in said long time ;π: 0 β©: 1
thedanishrailwayman In reply to MrJoj [2014-11-13 17:06:34 +0000 UTC]
Well actually danish are one of the best people to speak english as a second language so thats a busted myth.
On the other hand though i do admit we have accents but i would more say that the danish accent would say something like "tor-mas" instead of taw, masΒ
thats just my way of thinking

No. Roleplaying in the comments is downright embarrassing and painful to watch. And that goes to anyone else who reads this comment.
Roleplaying in the comments.
Is.
Retarded.
