I have watch those episodes now and after i saw that beautiful silhouette of WD (albeit, the whole homeworld looks amazing in the silhouette´s backgrond), i was just as ecstatic what i would have been if i had finally seen her for real.

I am not sure that was white diamond, it was more likely to be a huge statue dedicated to White Diamond.

But from what I can deduct White Diamond is the most senior of the Diamands.
And that the Diamonds each personify one of the four humours.

Blue is Melancholic: Introverted, emotional, and task-oriented.
Yellow is Choleric: Extroverted, unemotional, and task-oriented
Pink was Sanguine: Extroverted, emotional, and people-oriented and
White is Phlegmatic: Introverted, unemotional, and people-oriented

One of the most famoues four humour troop, the Ninja Turtles have
Donatello as the phlegmatic leader
Raphael as the ill tempered choleric
Leonardo as the matyr like melancholic  and
Michelangelo as the easygoing sanguine.

It is really a shame that we have only seen Yellow and Blue as it is usually the phlegmatic and the sanguine character that is the most interesting, and it is always the sanguine that is the most endearing.


When all that is said, I think it is likely that Yellow killed Pink, and she killed her for one reason, she was threatened. Blue had been Pink fusing, and were quite smitten with each other, they were basically like Ruby and Sapphire, and a diamond permafusion would have been able to completely disrupt the power balance, so by killing Pink (who was basically the Pinkiepie of Diamonds) she also crippled Blue which basically took two diamonds out of commission.
What I think is going to happen now is a civil war between Blue and Yellow.
We have seen Blue morn, we have yet to see how strong she is when her sadness gets focused into anger and fury. Homeworld won't be a peaceful place for much longer. I am almost certain that season 5 is taking us in this direction.

The one big question remaining is "where is white" She wasn't at the trial, despite it being illogical of her not to, so her absence is deafening, and it wouldn't have made sense for Yellow to go so far with the coup, if she hadn't somehow also gotten to white.
Paridot herself said that Yellow Diamond was in command of all the forces of homeworld.

That is very interesting theory, I've heard many theories why Yellow did shatter Pink but not like this one.

I myself think that there could be much more gem in the whole Pink Diamond´s shattering thing:
E.g i have seen this "White Diamond give our Pearl(or Pink Pearl if they are two different gems) to the Pink for order to shatter her" theory and i think there is some possibilities for this because if White is the main leader and embodiment of perfect diamond, i would not be surprised if she don´t like how Pink does her job and gets rid of her for keeping humans and even wanting not conguer earth or just because Pink can´t stop the rebels. This theory would explain why Pearl looks always so shook when PD is bring up. At least Pearl knows something just like i think Yellow also does and tries to hide from Blue.

But also Pink herself could have plan her own dead as sacrifice for freeing earth from diamonds and ask her Pearl to kill her. Or Pink isn´t even really shattered and is just in bubble inside lions mane or somewhere else. Well, i guess we have to now just wait and see who is close to the truth. ^.^

I don't buy the suicidal diamond thing.
From everything we know of Pink and everything we can deduce from it, like "she was the best of us" quote Blue Diamond, Pink Diamond had a personality halfway between Michelangelo and Pinkie Pie.
If she was evil in any way, she was affable evil. Her smile and pleasant demeanour was not a mask, but an intricate part of her personality. I said that her element was sanguine, sanguine is happiness. Like Blue is sadness and yellow is anger, pink was the embodiment of joy.
That is also why homeworld gems are so angry at Rose, Pink Diamonds shattering literally took their joy away.

And White being Phlegmatic is the more neutral rational Diamond, which is why most four humour assemblies are usually always lead by the phlegmatic character. We need a sanguine character to lift our spirits and look at the positive, we need a melancholic character to foresee the worst outcomes and take precautions (that is why the melancholic is also the brain), and we need a choleric character to defend the rest with righteous fury. It is such a well used troop because a story with these four character types work so well together.
