Batgirl slowly peeled open her eyes, groaning all the while. Her head was pounding up a storm, and the rest of her didn't feel a whole lot better. And why did her arms and legs feel-
Oh, no.
Everything rushed back to the shapely heroine at once. The warehouse. The Joker. Her ill-judged battle. Her defeat. Her capture.
The purple-clad crimefighter rapidly shook her head from side to side, clearing out the last of the anesthetic-induced cobwebs in her head. If she was going to get out of this, she would need ALL of her wits about her.
Quickly, she inspected her situation. It looked like she was still in the warehouse - the walls, the floor, and the ceiling all looked the same. She would have to think of something quick - she was alone now, but there was no telling when the Joker or his trained gorillas would be back.
Predictably, the Joker had taken away her utility belt. In addition, her booted feet were now bound to one another - combined with the fact that she was currently leaning on her side, it would be a challenge just to get herself upright. Worse, her torso was now bound in a complex harness of rope, which squeezed her sizable chest and went around her body several times. The harness bound her hands behind her back, rendering them mostly - if not totally - useless.
And most galling of all, the Joker - or one of this thugs - had gagged her. A thick white cloth now covered her mouth, muffling her every breath. It was beyond humiliating.
Like a worm, the bound heroine twisted her body against the cold concrete floor, looking for something - anything - that could help her escape.
To her shock, she found her utility belt in a matter of seconds. It was sitting atop a large crate, almost directly behind her.
And right next to it sat a bomb, softly tick-tick-ticking away as the digital display went from 1:00 right to 0:59...
