Description Mural series. This was the tree that greeted you as you walked out of the kitchen into this room. It was my favorite tree. My friends used to kid me for the longest because this room was large for an apt. living room and it took many hrs, days, weeks, months....(at this time I was a full time college student, had a full time job, and my daughter Molly was a very little girl) so this WIP almost didn't get finished. My friends told me just to give up ...put a little snow on the limbs and call it done. I wouldn't though 'cause Molly and I originally started this image as a sidewalk chalk drawing to celebrate "Earth Day."

such an inspiring story!! i've been working on this painting of mother nature with wave hair for ever, and as its supposed to go over the couch in our living room, my sister wont stop giving me shit for not finishing it!! beautiful tree painting, murals are tough <3

Boy do I understand the flack your sister is giving you...sometimes paintings take longer than you expect...friends and family have given me my share of grief over WIPs...they've gone so far as mockingly (with love though) referring to me as "Leonardo" because I have so many unfinished works.

I loved painting it and had really cool neighbors. I may get to start murals in the new/old home...we have high ceilings so I would need to build scaffolds.

I want to say more but I am speechless. I had no idea how awesome they would be...I had a completely different idea in mind...not sure what. I bet people would pay you to go into their homes and do this...seriously.

Maybe when the economy recovers a little more I can give it a go. I would love to actually. I'm fed up with trying to do other stuff anyway...goes against my nature as it turns out.

Well I noticed in Florida...with those ocean front homes with spacious long rooms facing the ocean...that people do seem to have had a decorator come in and do something like you have done on some of the walls...but not to the degree that you can do it. orking with an interior decorator I think you may have an untapped source of income. I remember my sister wanted her kids room painted with disney characters and she had someone come in and design and paint it. I don't recall for how much butI remember it wasn't cheap.
