why is it popular? it's a meme. People saw the outrageous comment samwitched between two horrific scenes and are reminded of the "relief" then you have the people that haven't seen it and add the outrageous thought of a chocolate Helicopter, and a fat African-American named "Coach" who, we can all relate to. (cool enough not to give his real name in such a horrid situation, out of shape and still kicking ass, etc..)simply put, Coach is an Internet win, and his obsession over a chocolate helicopter, makes him more win.

It's popular because, as I've found, if you take a single quote concerning some type of food with a popular character and put it a bit out of context, or far too literally in context, people will adore it.
I cursed myself with the same thing when I made a Doctor Who icon last year. Around two hundred something photos and people love that damn icon so much I'm tempted some days to delete it... yet I can't bloody bring myself to do it.
