Description
I made this for my 21st birthday party (the dress up theme I chose was "Not Quite Human").The arm is sewn permenantly onto the t-shirt, which is tight enough to reveal the bumps from the chest panel. The arm is made from a sock, fingerless gloves, and brown drill cotton (painted with acrylics).
It was made with reference stills from District 9, and was incredibly comfortable to wear.

how did you sew it? used only one or different fabrics? i'm not a sewing person but i would love to make it

I used a brown sock as the part that lies directly along the arm (with holes for the fingers and thumb), then just brown fabric I had lying around the place for the raised bits. I loosely sewed lines of thread, then pulled them taught to give the 3D details, then added daubs of dark brown paint to heighten the effect. Hope that helps!
