Description I forgot how good how good the Ruby and Sapphire games were until I started replaying Sapphire recently. I was never too crazy about most of the Pokemon in this generation, but the design of the towns is so unique. One built in an underwater crater, one on top of hot springs, another covered by volcanic soot, one built on the sea ... and one composed of TREE HOUSES -- which is my favorite of all . Seriously, if I had to live in a Pokemon city, I would probably live in Fortree, because it is too awesome.

Tried some watercolors this time, and it took me SO LONG and turned out differently than I wanted it to. x_x Thankfully, some tweaking in Photopshop took out some of the overwhelming green. I think I prefer colored pencils, although I do like the smoothness of the water colors.

Oh well, enjoy the tree houses. ~

This is pretty cool. Have you considered using water colors then colored pencil on top? It works well for me; I use it to smooth out the colored pencil (all that white that come through) that I use to add back in the details in some of my art.

Yep, Hoenn definitely had some of the best, unique towns. xD This is one of the reasons why it remains one of my favorite generations ever. <3

Yeah, I feel like the Hoenn games are often overlooked, which is too bad, because they are quite good. I wonder if there is a remake in the works (since Hoenn is now the only region that can't be accessed through the DS). Glad you liked the drawing!
