This is my contest entry for the group #Pens0digitalartist:[link]
The rules were to draw one of three choice forms of Ichigo from Bleach. I chose his Gestuga Tenshou form with black hair and red eyes :3

His hair is blowing in the breeze and there are black sakura petals blowing and blending with it, hence the title. I tried to make it look as much like real hair as possible too.
It took me about an hour to complete, both outlining and coloring.

My technique is fairly simple. I started off with the outline and drew his face. I added another layer to sketch the outline of his hair. Then, for each new section I color (skin, eyes, hair, etc.) I added a new layer. The hair actally consists of 3 layers, the base color, highlights, and little details. Then I simply put a layer behind everything for the background(:

I hope this is quality enough to qualify for the contest!
