Description This is my entry for the Imagine FX magazine's "Be our cover artist" competition. I've worked endless hours on this one, let me tell you. It's concept, style and colors changed so many times that I had to stop counting. At one time she was a mermaid with red hair (and looked way too much like Disney's Ariel), then some kind of fire spirit (that one wasn't very pretty), then dryad, and now, well I'm not entirely sure what she is ^__^' Personally I'm pretty happy with it, though I don't expect to win the contest, as I've seen some brilliant entries out there.. Well any way, great contest and even greater magazine, so if you haven't heard of it yet, check it out. Now.

Edit: Did some editing to the colors and pose. And what happened with the contest. Yeah, I didn't win, naturally... It's OK though, as this painting was re purposed as a Virvatulet luokseni poster.

This is absolutely incredible. I love all the colours, even though they're all so different they really work, and it looks so soft and full of movement. ^^

Well neither did I But I'm really not complaining. I think
that the winning piece was truly gorgeous and the staff did
great job at picking it up.
That's one awesome drawing though! And your WildKat would had
looked stunning in the cover.

And aww, thanks, haha! Unfortunately that wasn't the one I did for the cover, but it turned out better than the one I was trying to enter! I never finished that one. It was meant to be of my character Draco, a dragon-boy, and a little dragon, but it just didn't go right. X3

Loving this! Totally loving this image, everything about it, i love your use of colours and the composition. The lil water dragons (sorry if they arent water dragons) i think they're kindof cute with a bite and how you've done her hair! It looks so fluffly, how on earth did you manage that?!?!?!?!

They are water dragons, or some kind of snakes with wings There's
many elemental animal spells being casted in the book. I used these
