> Lolo was born in the US then served in the Korean war. He married his wife in the Philippines and settled in the US where they had four children

> Gani's mom moved from the US to the PH to work in the military based in Subic Bay. She met her eventual hunny there, married him, and had their adorable first born, Sigwa.

> The naval base closes down and they move to San Diego where Isagani (adorable) and Tala (less adorable) were born. Gani has a relatively chill childhood tbh

> Their parents divorce in 2010 and while Gani did his best to be mature about things, for Tala’s sake and his own, it somewhat shattered this idea of their family being perfect.

> His mom takes him and Tala to South Korea where his grandparents retired, leaving Sigwa to care for their father and finish uni.

> He had a harder time with the move than his sister and couldn’t grasp Korean as quickly as she could, making studying a little difficult. After graduating high school with only so-so grades, he decided to dedicate his summer break studying korean more and advance studying some subjects he’d take so he’d have an easier time later on.

> In 2016, their mom becomes sick, causing the siblings to stress over taking care of her. Gani was about to finish uni at this point so the pressure of his final year overlaps with the stress and worry he had for his mom that manifested into anger that he’d take out on Tala. Sigwa flies to them a year later to take care of their mom.

> In 2017, after he and Tala fight over something mundane, she gets rushed to the hospital after fainting. This became a sour point and he stopped fighting her, instead becoming more protective and patient.

> He becomes angry towards his mother (and Sigwa a little) for the mess, how Tala is, becoming ill, and stressing everyone out. Him and Sigwa argue for a good amount time before the eldest lets him and Tala take some time away and move to Busan where their grandparents are settled in.

> As their apartment wouldn’t be able to fit them all, their grandparents help with their move and shoulder a bunch of their expenses while he looked for a job to pay for their necessities. He ended up getting a job as a barista while doing art on the side.

> The environment did help calm him down and reevaluate his behavior towards his family and himself, making develop a lot of guilt, regret, and self-hatred, which he’s working on atm lol
