Contrary to his resting face, Iseul is very expressive. Particularly adept at emotional, tear jerking scenes, Iseul excels at tugging heartstrings. He’s very perceptive, and good at reading the mood of people both on and off-scene. Constantly striving for the perfect amount of emotional tension, Iseul can come off as intense to many, often called out for telling coworkers they aren’t “passionate enough.” On set he’s very private with his personal life, not really willing to have anything more than shallow conversation with the bulk of his coworkers. When throwing parties or simply having others over who aren’t super close, Iseul is known to be kind of superfluous, doing the most to give everyone that impression of being a cordial host.

In his private life, Iseul is incredibly chatty, although for a while he had no one to talk to except his tabby. With Hyebin around, dynamics have changed, but he still catches himself chatting with Socks when it feels like nobody's around. He often complains about stressful work life, not expecting much for an answer. As a result, Iseul is also rather patient, ready to listen to the concerns of those close to him and (hopefully) provide thoughtful feedback. Residual from his childhood, Iseul holds traces of stinginess, known to pinch a penny or two even if it means looking less cool. He tends to be persuasive to the point of beguiling, using his crocodile tears to get people to do things for him that he doesn’t want to do himself. He doesn’t do this often, but when he does, he does The Most. During these times, he’s the whiniest, voicing complaints about petty things simply to get attention.

✻ Grew up in an upper-lower/lower-middle class family, both parents working a couple jobs to make it work
✻ As a kid, Iseul was really into musical theater, and was lucky to enough to have the extra time/money to star in some minor productions outside of school-hosted plays
✻ Probably wasn’t going to go to high school, and just get a job to help his parents out
✻ Parents scrape the bottom of the barrel to send him to a private high school of the arts
✻ Works his ass off during school, gets better at acting
✻ Applies for hella auditions after high school and spends a few years playing minor roles before scoring the lead for a webdrama, and subsequently a TV aired crime drama
✻ Plays various parts in dramas and a minor minor role in a film
✻ A year prior to moving to Busan, he catches the attention of a studio after his most recent lead role and joins their crew
✻ Meets Hyebin and they hit it off (or something)
✻ The company goes under after a few months, and saps his enthusiasm for acting. He decides to take a break and move down south with Hyebin
