Ideandre Thæfalorean (left) is the Lady of Giethe who Ruso simps over . She's about 50, widowed, and way too elegant for his young dumb arse. After her husband dies in a war against Arinhall, she makes the controversial but calculated decision to ally with Arinhall, which leads to a civil uprising by nobles who were already plotting to take power.

The Tupavig-chief Luin Barjolsson (right, and dead) was the main founder of Arinhall. To say somebody "has Barjolsson's tongue" means that they're good at getting what they want, not necessarily in a good way. Luin was and is feared more than revered, and his underhanded tactics and questionable relationship with his erstwhile enemy the Jotn-chief make his reputation somewhat ... mixed.
