75 layers later, the image is ready. And I was wondering why it took so long (almost a month). 😅
I had lost motivation on my other project for the time being. So Clip Studio Paint's contest on the theme of nature came in handy. So I tried something different, than usual. 😁 Motives that are suitable for backgrounds I have neglected anyway.

The four seasons all have their beautiful sides and they are a symbol of change. For me, there seemed an apple tree suitable as a center, because it blooms and later bears fruit. Then I wanted to show the seasons around the tree. I find it very hard to paint digitally so that environments don't look too artificial. I also find animals very difficult. For example, the deer has uneven eyes and much too thick front legs. In the blackbird, the claws are too long and in the wings I'm not sure about the structure of the feathers.

I also deliberately chose the animals shown. We currently have a pair of squirrels in our yard and in the evenings 5 hedgehoglets like to walk across our lawn. The blackbirds used to steal the dry food from our yard cat. Deer used to snack on my mother's flowers and sparrows live in our hedge.

At times I found the picture very exhausting. This was because the small details were more work than expected, but also because I have been sick in the meantime.
