Description It is still wet but I already do not like it. I guess this photo oil thing is not going to work for me.

Being spiritually deprived today is not something that I opted for. It is the sardonic fate that made me so.

Good night, my friends. Let tomorrow come.

That is creepy as all get out.

Well done too.

Don't give up on the oil stuff too quick, some things just take a while to get the hang of. Good luck!

I like it. The painting is wonderful.. I'd like to see the color..

But I'm terrified of dolls.. It reminds me of Chuckie from childs play.. That movie scares me to no end for soem reason..

That baby is terrifying! Those stitches...gah, creepy. >_<
I think the photo does have a bit too much paint on it...especially on the face, which I think should be emphasized. More turpentine, perhaps? Still an emotionally packed work, though! ^_^

Every new work from makes me feel more and more that words aren't enough to describe the emotions they inspire.

I think I see your dissatisfaction here, if I may....the female in the picture has lost her "spark of life" and has become merely tones. The covering of oil upon her has made her merely a background shader. It is the baby that is instead seen twice, then you have to look again to see the woman holding him. So it is now only an image of a baby looking in a mirror of sorts. I don't want to discourage you from experimenting more with this technique, maybe just simply apply less piant next time. Well in the end, just follow your bliss. Good luck.

Less oil, hmm? I have a tendency of quickly growing discouraged and settled into a life of quiet desperation... I think I'll try again using the suggestions you provided. Thanks!

+i really don't know about the painting, can't see it well enough ...but this works greatly as a photo, it has tension and hints at a story...plus is beautifully lighted and shot. the doll is amazing, i'm glad you posted the link to the other pic (i like that one a lot, too...your expression is loving and drawn-inward, as in deep reverie).+

oh i'm liking your oil painting over photos just fine! but thats just me. what really counts in creating a good peice of art is that the artist theirself is pleased with it.

the baby scares me. i want to see its face.

that's incredible D D D
i wish it was in colour... might have been a little clearer.
i also wish i'd seen that before i did my artwork on "spirituality" last term for year 11 - if that is indeed intended to be a part of the work...
keep it coming

Interesting piece of work here.
You say it is all oil? It's hard to see the quality, or deficiencies (if any) through digital means.
It's too bad.

I like your ideas here - and even though religion is a hard subject to include into any painting (art history governs that), you've still created a nice piece of work. Keep it up.....impressive.
