Description I'm running out of names for things like these X)

I wanted to do a watercolor-piece with frogs, but I ended up going all out on the inking instead. I'm kind of worried coloring it will ruin it, so I'm uploading it as an inked sketch before I add some color. Maybe I never will. We'll see.

I referenced some frogs from[link]

I love working with ink. This was so much fun to do.
Media used: black ink and a dib pen

WOW! can I use this ilustration? I am designing my own business card and I was looking for something like this! I'm a herpetologist and I love frogs too!!!

Hmm... I'm not sure if I'm okay with that, seeing how you would be handing them out to people without validly crediting me. I'd actually rather you didn't. I suppose if you really want a frog like this, I can make you another one as a commissioned piece. That way you'll own the work and will be able to do with it whatever you want.

That being said, what you do sounds like a lot of fun What does a herpetologist do exactly? Do you get to research frogs and salamanders and study them all day long? That would be absolutely amazing.

I could also put your name and email if you really don't believe they're just for info.

I was just thinking of using your image because it has frogs on it and your signature in it too... so it would have your credit and it would also be no changes on your work. The business cards would be to give my information if they have questions on my research. No actual income coming from it.

I study frogs.

Frogs are so awesome, and you managed to capture a certain frog-ness that is quite rare to find in illustrations. Well done!

Thank you! I adore frogs I'm glad I caught their frog-ness in my crudely laid down lines I'm quite proud of this one too. My childhood dream was once to illustrate books in the old-fashioned way, and this picture reminds me of that dream. I know it won't happen, but it brings along some happy memories.

Naturally! Frogs are pretty awesome little guys, and you've inspired me to attempt to capture them, even though I'm terrible at amphibians (X_X). Also, you should still try to send in illustrations to publishers to see what might happen! You're good enough that you might be able to get some stuff published . I know that life is filled with compromises, but there are ways to try to make your dream real!

Thank you
I must say I quite like your gallery too! I just browsed through it for a bit and enjoyed it. I love the way you portray the human face and how you handle your materials. Making shapes without drawing the actual shape can be so hard, but I think you do it well. Keep it up!

Thank you. right now I'm experiencing all kind of different techniques, styles and ideas in art. as I see your gallery, you already found your own unique style, and that is great! <3

Thank you It's easier for me to grasp the body-structure of small animals, especially ones without fur, than to get a hold of complex human poses. For ink-practice like this I love to draw small reptiles or amphibians. I just wish I could have shown the "shine" of the light on their moist skin better. I still need to work on that with pen and ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
