Originally, I want to call this comic, "Go Kill Yourself", but I'm afraid that alternative title will give out the wrong kind of message. This all started when I was thinking of the "Time Paradox" scene in Metal Gear Solid 3. Then I remember on how websites like Gametrailers.com came up with timeline theories for the Legend of Zelda games. This probably all started after Wind Waker when the intro was fortelling the supposed aftermath of Ocarina of Time. Video game theorists proclaimed that ending of Ocarina of Time have created two timelines: the one that Young Link returned (Timeline A), and the one he left behind after he defeated Ganon (Timeline B). Wind Waker takes place in Timeline B many years later after Ganon's first defeat.Since Smash Bros Brawl introduces Link (Twilight Princess) & Toon Link (Wind Waker) into the fray, would it not create a time paradox? I mean, I believe that Toon Link is somehow a future descendent of Link, even though no VG theorists haven't figure out yet which timeline Twilight Princess fits.

That was Twilight Princess and Wind Waker Links in SSBB. They are not related by descendant/ancestry, but by alternate timeline reincarnation. And reincarnation doesn't mean one is the descendant of the other; King of Red Lions says that WW Link's unrelated to OoT Link.

Now that the Hyrule Historia has been published in Japan and is soon to be released overseas, the premise behind this comic seems a little... dated...

twlight and windwaker have nothing to do with each other. TP link is a blood descendant of the link sent back in time at the end of OOt who we played as during majoras mask. Wind waker is on the timeline Link was sent away from. The goddesses flooded hyrule because there wasnt a hero their to save it, then, a thousand years later, the hero was reborn, not by blood, but reincarnated, as toon link. Funny idea though.

I don't think it would cause a time paradox at all. Because the two different Links are from separate timelines. I personally think that Twilight Princess continues on from where Timeline A was, and Wind Waker continues on from Timeline B. It makes good sense to me.

Anyway...I thought that the Twilight Princess Link and Wind Waker Link would still exist in their own timeline even if the other's dead. Like if you did kill TP Link, WW Link would live on as TP Link has no influence in WW Link's time.

Toon Link kills his alter-ego, the Hero of Time, therefore, he killed his self who lived thousands of years ago. What I mean is it should be that OoT Link's soul has moved in Toon Link body after his birth, just like Ganondorf says : 'Yes, you must be the Hero of Time, reborn...' (quote after defeating Puppet Ganon, Legend of Zelda, The Wind Waker) Same thing happen in Oracle of Ages when Ralph tries to kill Empress Ambi, as if she was slain, Ralph would die too.

tp comes 100 years after mm becase the fused shadow is actualy the majora's mask(look carefully at the detail) so it does make sense. perfect sense.

So that means that Twilight Princess takes place in Timeline A. That makes both Links different and therefore note killing each other.
This one would work better if it was the two Links that showed up in Melee. Kid Link and Adult Link from Ocarina of Time, that way if Adult Link killed his kid version he would vanish.
