Altair is a people person through and through, he loves surrounding himself with family and friends and is always willing to go out and make new ones. He has a lot of charm to him and carries that friendly air that makes him approachable and open to others.   To say that Altair was a surprise baby between a couple consisting of a Honchkrow named Mintaka, a Latios named Hiro, and their first born a Latias named Andromeda, was an understatement. His parents knew they were having a child but twins? Neither of them knew they were expecting twins. Altair was the hidden twin, hiding while his slighter bigger twin brother Orion was in the spotlight. While the two were welcomed with open arms, the family was unsure if they could afford to care for a sudden third child. They did their best, and for the first few years of the twins lives they managed, receiving aid from both their families to help them make due, it worked, but only barely. Altair and his brother were blissfully unaware of their family’s financial struggles, their differing personalities were becoming clear as they aged. Altair was the more social happy child while Orion was the quiet more pessimistic one. They were deeply loved by both their parents all the same.
  However, neither Mintaka nor Hiro wanted this life for any of their children, so they tried hard to find better paying jobs while still dedicating time to their kids. Their children grew older, their twins were five years old and their daughter was almost ten and neither could get the perfect job for their large family. Hiro being a developed flier and a little less tied down to the kids then Mintaka felt that he should take charge as the father and find a job that both he and his family can survive and thrive on. He traveled to a different city in Alola, hoping to find work. He never returned home. Hiro was involved in a bad car accident that killed him instantly, he was unable to fly away in time due to the speed of the car. Mintaka was devastated when she learned the news, falling into a depressive state. She couldn’t take care of 3 kids by herself, her family could only help her with oh so much, what was she going to do?
  It wasn’t long before they received a large check in the mail, accompanied by a lengthy letter of apology. The check was what the family needed, they were dangerously close to being put on the streets, but now they could pick themselves back up. Mintaka was still depressed at the death of her husband but she tried to pull through, however she never had the heart to tell her children that their father had passed, her daughter caught on quickly but her sons were too young to understand. She could only tell that their father had to leave them. Neither of them took it well, but Altair became the one who would try to make his family happy despite the loss, while Orion slowly became bitter and angry over their father abandoning them, and what it was doing to their mother. Altair tried his best, becoming the light of his family, always the one with a smile on his face and encouraging smiles to go around.
  Him and brother soon started school, the two brothers stuck by each other like glue but it was clear that due to Altair’s friendly nature he drew kids to him. He grew to love having people around him, people that weren’t just his family and he wanted to make them happy and smile too. He tried to encourage his brother to join in with their new friends and have fun, but Orion didn’t share the same sentiment of surrounding himself with so many people. He chose to keep to himself while Altair continued to blossom into the person he would become. He tried his best with his studies, some things came to him easy while others were a bit harder, with hard work and determination he managed to work through them. He wanted to do his best, make sure his mother didn’t have to worry about him when she already had dealt with so much. He would be able to handle himself, his brother could and so can he.
  As they grew, more checks from this mysterious person began to arrive every few months, even after Mintaka managed to pick herself off her feet, along with an occasional letter. This mystery person was the man that accidentally killed Hiro, and his intense guilt for doing so cause his to send checks to Hiro’s family every few months, wanting to make sure that they weren’t suffering anymore because of him. He had no desire to meet this family in person only to make sure he made up for what he did to them. With these checks coming in she was able to build up savings, hoping to send her daughter and sons to college. It was better that they get a good education and not have to deal with that she once did. Something that she was glad they would later pursue. Well her sons anyway. Altair had vastly different career goals in mind, wanting to dedicate his life to helping others. He and his brother took to different colleges which he didn’t mind, even if it was weird not having him by his side. He adapted as best he could, made new friends, made new memories and worked hard towards his goal to become a social worker to help make other people’s lives better. The years flew by, and while he didn’t graduate top of his class he did with high marks. But he still wasn’t done yet, not quite, he still had more schooling to go through.

  He returned home after he graduated, both the siblings did. Both having plans to further advance their education to pursue their career paths, but neither of them wanted to stay at home either, they wanted to spread their own wings and find a place. Seeing as how they know each well, being twins, they decided to find a place together. It would be better for both of them money wise as well. It was summer, the best time to find a place. They had a few options but none of them were either want they wanted, or too expensive to also continue their schooling with. Still they kept at it hoping to find something that would be good, it wasn’t long before they came across a flyer speaking of cheap apartments, homes, and a growing community on Fullmoon Island in Sinnoh. Both were intrigued but at the same both had heard the rumors, while they did hesitate, the allure of cheap rent was too much to pass up and they decided to check it out. It wouldn’t hurt would it?

- His name reflects the fact that he was unexpected while his brother was planned. It doesn't match with neither his mother's nor his twin.
- He gets cold easily though he doesn't mind the cold air while he's flying as much as he does when he's on the ground.
