History |
  Altair lived a normal human life before he was turned. Having become a vampire as he was on the brink of death after getting trampled in a carriage accident in an effort to save his younger sister from the same fate. Even so he was turned without his consent and in his feeding frenzy fueled by his rage upon being reborn he turned on the vampire that turned him and slaughtered them, draining them of their blood. With that he was alone for the next several years, decades even, forced to learn the ways of being a vampire by himself after failed attempts to starve himself to death. He wandered the world, slept around during his time alone, either with vampires he didn’t kill for their blood or other monster species for his own amusement, avoiding mortals for anything other than to feed on as he had very little self control.

  A miscalculation during a vampire attack almost cost Altair his life, but another vampire came to his aid on her own volition and the two of them managed to kill the other vampire. Altair had no desire to interact with his ‘savior’ and attempted to leave, but she wouldn’t let him. The vampire introduced herself as Olivia, and much to Altair’s surprise, the two hit it off after some interaction. She had no fear for him, despite learning that he occasionally attacked other vampires to feed. They grew close over time, as she slowly managed to make her way through his many walls.

  Eventually Olivia’s clan caught wind of the two of them, and soon realized who Altair was. Olivia’s clan forced them into a choice, either they split apart or have Altair join the clan to keep him in check. He refused to join their clan, but they did have to split apart in order to protect each other, hoping that it was only going to be temporary. Olivia was forced to remain with her clan as Altair took off, keeping his distance and leaving everything to Olivia as she wanted. However soon the clan was attacked by a group of strong vampires aiming to avenge their comrade who was killed by Altair and Olivia. He caught wind of this and tried to get back to help but he didn’t make it in time, the clan was slaughtered and Olivia was nowhere to be found. Her brother survived but he couldn’t find his sister either.
    Altair took off to the world again after that, seeing the entire situation as a sign that he should be alone, he continued to sleep around, as a distraction and a means of fun and fooling around. He rebuilt his walls and barriers even stronger then before and tried to continue on with his life. Eventually he came across the Hollow Hills Institute and after not much consideration he decided to join, seeing there was not much else to do outside and who knows what new experiences await him.

- Can eat normal food it just doesn't provide him with much nutrients
- He has blood flowing through him, it's a very bright crimson red. Like really bright
- Has and will drink vampire blood if he so desires, to him it's like eating luxury ice cream. Hard to get but worth what you pay for.
- He believes Olivia to be dead and has been trying to move on since her death, it has been difficult but he’s slowly managing. He still needs time
- Knows his way around various alcoholic drinks too as well. Can make a mean bloody mary(with actual blood) even if he only really gets tipsy/drunk when he drinks intoxicated blood.
- Can get sick if he drinks expired/infected blood
- His human eye color was blue, the white pupils took the longest to get used to.
- His eyes change color as he gets more and more hungry, gradually turning from red orange to coal black, cause a stark unsettling contrast with his white pupils.
- He once needed glasses when he was a human, he still kept them after all these years. Their current condition is less than ideal nowadays. Picture Harry Potter’s glasses and you have his old ones.
