Description
So I've been wanting to draw a picture of Drizzt that does him justice, because all of the old art I have done of him kinda sucks XD So I used Geek.Kon as an excuse to draw him for a new bookmark.This was a lot of fun but a lot of struggling at the same time. Why does his outfit have to be so complex DX Also it was frustrating cuz my computer has such little memory it kept refusing to let me work on it.

The weapons handles look really flat, and the bottom of his cloak could benefit from a crease or two.

Thanks, yeah I probably could have done better but I remember all the detail was killing me and my photoshop didn't want to keep working on it. I can hopefully go back in at some point and re-work parts of it.

I think you did a lovely job. I really do know what you mean about that outfit though... its such a pain to draw (I could kick Lockwood for designing it like that) but it does look wonderful.
Have you read the new Drizzt book (the Ghost King) yet? I'm about 2/3 the way through but I won't speak of it unless you've read it (As I don't want to spoil anything for you).

Cool, thanks. I have always wondered how hard it would be to actually make a decent profit from selling prints... seems like there must be a very fine line between getting a lot of money from selling all your art, vs. losing a ton of money from making more prints than will actually sell. And it must be hard to know what prices to set, too. But I can only guess, because I've never sold my art before

Yeah, it takes a few conventions to figure it all out, but I think I've finally got a good grasp on prices and what to get of what. I broke even at my last convention (first time I've done that), and that was after I had spent a ton of money get all my stockpiled bookmarks laminated (they hadn't been before).
