Your work is really getting better and better. It seems like everytime you post new work, I love it more than the earlier stuff you posted. I read some of your other comments and I agree that it sucks that good work often goes unnoticed. I noticed that once I posted the nudes I got a flood of comments from males. You were right, flesh attracts attention, and unfortunately it seems like this site has a thing for nudes. I hope that more people become interested in other genres of photography because you are one of the best photographers on this site and I want people to see your work!

the rust bring this alive. the colours of metal just don't have to be silvery or grey... and the red hues in this really give life to the picture.
the DOF in this gives me a feeling of exaggerated perspective, and the coiled metal effect on the foreground chain section makes it feel like i'm holding tightly onto this end.
there's something of the nature of umbilical cords in this picture... what lifeline is this chain? what is it connecting me to? something majestic, old, rusting, and out-of-frame... there's a magical aura of historical gravity to this piece. i like it a lot.

hehehe..thanks..it was not up high, actually just on a path along the waterway in Liverpool. Thank you for the comment, and should I be flattered or apologetic that you may have become afraid of heights.

Oh, flattered to be sure!
Matrix3 helped me to develop my first fear of heights.. but this sort of thing tends to wear off after a couple of days or so, after which time I resume being afraid of spiders ^^ (but during those couple of days of vertigo, all spiders had better look out!)
..Heh, yes, my phobias are interchangable and override each other ^^
Anyway, ranting, sorry!
But yes, flattered; an image that can evoke emotion, (or in this case, psychological distress (just kidding ) is very impressive indeed
