Thank you. I once got a comment from you suggesting smaller frames, and I think about that nearly everytime I frame something now. So you are kinda responsible for that. hehe. Glad you like my stuff.

Mia, I love the intentionally contrast, and your depth of feild is excellent. Plus I love the angle of the pipe and the other log against the fence. It throws the weight of a bit.But seriously it really kick ass!

I love the texture of that burnt wood fence. Excellent.

It looks like the wood has been burned. That chain is so awesome!
The background could have really screwed up your focus, but depth of field stopped that from happening. Now it is very complmentiary.

Thank you for the detailed comment. Yeah I have a manuel focus camera, so if stuff is out of focus its my own fault. I don't really like the autofocus stuff because the camera chooses..I've seen way to many blurry photos with detailed grass or leaves in the foreground or background.

This makes me want to go to Bodie. I love the overexposure on this one, it almost gives a nod to a woodblock print or illustration. Realism through the photo, yet surrealism in the development cycle? I dunno, forget me I'm insane!!

Beautiful as always Mia!

Forget you? HA! Riiiight. Yeah I did mess with this a little in photoshop to sharpen it up a bit and I did a few trials before I found one I really liked. It is a little over done, but I love it. Thank you as always for your thoughtful comment.

Thank you.
Yeah I remembered there being sawblades on the fence, but I don't think they made it in the photo...I was really tired when I submitted this....[after you went to bed sucka] HAHA kidding..but they were the long sawblades with a handle on each side I think...blah my mind fails me again. Oh well.

great work.. love the textures in this one... b&w format works great and the DoF is spot on

Thank you so much, I always appreciate constructive criticism and I have really been trying harder with the DoF this time around. I seem to manage okay with my photos, but a lot is by chance. I am trying to learn a little more about the actual shooting process and I think I am improving...but it is a little expensive with all of my experimenting lately. I have an old manuel focus Minolta..no quick shoot digital that can be erased a million times. hehe.
