The first day of kindergarten,when we became one...
Jerome's POV:
Jeez,I wonder if anyone'll think I'm a weirdo... I sighed in my head as I went towards my seat.I felt everyone's gazes bore through my fur until the teacher snapped at them: Thank god.
I listened her drone on about safety and sharing,blah blah blah.Yeah,right,like anyone would show me that.
Finally,it was time for recess.Everyone ran out,leaving me behind.Well,except one...he had a red-and-white plaid jacket over a white t-shirt.He wore blue jeans,and his eyes were a shiny coffee-brown.He chat with a group,shooing them outside.Looking in my direction,he gave a kind smile as he walked over.
"Hey,there...I'm Mitch.What's your name?"
Nobody's POV
Jerome walked outside with Mitch,blinking,"You don't think I'm...weird?"
"What're ya talking about?I have a lot of weird friends!"
"Y-You do?"
"Yeah!Like take them,for example."
He pointed towards four kids; a girl and three boys,"Those are Jason,Ty,and Sky...and Dawn,of course." He pointed to others,"Kermit,Husky,and Ethan." Mitch let himself chuckle,"Man,when I first saw them,I thought they were the weirdest people ever...and they are.But they are so much better than snotty know-it-all's."
Jerome sighed,"Agreed."
"...Hey,let's play!"
"What?"
"Tag!You're it!"
Mitch started to run.Jerome started to giggle,running after him.Soon,Sky and the others joined them,their laughs filling the whole area around them.
Tag slowly became hide-n-seek.Jerome was looking around for his new friends,the third one it,when a hand grabbed his shoulder.
Thrown to the ground,the bacca winced,staring up at a bully.Mitch poked his head out,along with his friends,as Jerome started to back up against the ground.
"Hey,maybe you should make him prettier." A girl snorted,sitting on the swings.Just as the bully opened his mouth,Ethan jumped out of his hiding spot,interrupting him,"Maybe he should make you look prettier!" He retorted,getting laughs from the kids playing.
The girl frowned,jumping from her swinging spot,"Watch your mouth."
"We should watch your whole face." Jason piped up.More laughs,especially from Sky and the others.Jerome let himself smile,covering his mouth.
She looked steamed,"Why're you defending this guy,anyway?" She demanded.

"Cause we root for the Sky Army!" Sky shouted,"Sky Army?What is that,a fan club?"
Mitch snickered,"Least our fan club has more fans than you."
"Oooh!Burn!" Ty laughed.Dawn giggled,blowing her bangs away,"I suggest you leave before we embarrass you even more." She warned.
The girl stomped her foot on the ground,storming away and dragging the bully behind her.Mitch and the Sky Army ran to Jerome,helping him up,"Sky Army?" The bacca asked,"What's that?"
"It's our own personal army." Kermit said,"Yeah!And we're proud members!" Husky exclaimed.
"And...I'm part of it?"
"Of course!"
