Description
Took a stab at rendering one of the sketches in Doodle 82 with a vaguely defined background.Basically just an experiment in painting methods. Not exactly satisfying, but informative.

Interesting to see her in a case like this. But we, fans, seems to like her so much that we prefer her as a good being. Can't blame them. She is an very interesting character and the sole villain possible beside Discord who is said "reformed". Oh yeah, Tyrek. In Tartarus, for now.

This is my Chrysalis headcanon, she is cunning and ruthless but only towards who she consider her enemies, she is caring and gentle towards her Changelings.

How long did this little experiment take you? I know you have a way with understating length.

Wow, that's interesting. I was getting kind of frustrated with this one, hence the sort of terse description, but it's apparently received special ogling status.
I'm remarkably terrible at estimating time cost on these things for multiple reasons. For one, when I'm "working" on one of these it's usually like, half an hour of feverish scribbling, followed by two hours of sitting and staring at it, zooming in and out, wondering what to do.
So in terms of time elapsed, I started this about three days ago, in terms of time spent, somewhere between 3 to 6 hours, and tack on a few more hours if you include the time spent aimlessly staring at it.

Yeah, I always try for a clever or referential title. I thought it was a neat little ironic twist to have her "say" Celestia's line from ACW.
