Voila! My latest pastel painting! Hope you like it
As some of you may recognize, it is the cover art from the single "sing for absolution" [link] done in pastel. And for those who don´t know that, here you have the link to listen to this great song [link]
It has taken me a very-very-very long time! I've put a lot of attention on the details. The painting is quite small though, 30cmx40cm.
I've enjoyed a lot painting it, but I don't know what to do with it now...A friend is insisting that she wants to buy it (my muser friend, of course), but on the one hand, I would like to keep it. On the other hand, My parents don't like this painting very much and I feel like my friend will appreciate the painting much more. Meanwhile, I've asked to make some photocopies of it for some friends
Comments, opinions and critics are very much appreciated
Edit: I'm finally not selling it. Anyway, I would like to dedicate it to a special friend. Thank you for taking me to that awesome concert, and thank you for introducing me to this great band (and a lot of others too). You probably won't read this, but thanks for everything

I'm slowly dying inside, been wanted to go to their concert so badly.
They never came to my city since 2007 and I'm still too young to travel far away for a concert.
They're the best band I ever know
By the way, nice artwork you have there
It really shows the post-apocalyptic feel of the song, and Muse's way.

It`s simply amazing. I don`t know if I would sell it. Sometimes one simple painting means to us so much more than to some other person. Maybe you should keep it and the idea what to do with this will come later?

and yes I have tried using pastels once or twice and just found it uncomfortable as you said, I may not have very good ones either. I just love tiny detail and I found it thick, but I'm sure you can buy better ones to fix that. I also lacki patience in myart and now that I've noticed a significant difference of the result of spending more time on somethingt I'm trying to work on it. Just started school though and have very little time now
