Ha, it was indeed my teenage dream to work as an animator in Disney! Then I grew up and found out that Disney animators are underpaid and work their butt off. So what would be the use of damaging my eyes for being anonymous in the end?
But practice is good. And so is dreaming.

I know that this comment was posted a long time ago, but...did you read that online or did someone tell you this? It's not true. Disney takes very good care of its people. If they work their butts off, they get paid well for it. Disney is a corporation. It wants people to come back again and again, and seeing pissed off animators in the studios will not help, so they are taken care of so they look like they're happy and enjoy their jobs.

Online websites that tell you Disney is bad to work for are just disgruntled employees.

Just wanna tell you if you stil wanna be a Disney animator, go for it!

Oh...! Sorry, look, to be honest I never read stuff about Disney *online*, all I get is hearsay here and there. What I *have* read is that most Disney animators (and I'm not talking big names here, like the creator of Frollo or whoever).. do work a lot and they barely get mentioned anywhere. I must admit I'm too lazy for this job, I am! I already have a steady job, it pays enough for me to get by and leaves me with enough free time to do my own stuff. And... ok, when you're a n00b, you do work "like a slave" and it takes you a lot of time and meeting the right people to get your work noticed and make a name for yourself (and maybe I don't mean Disney 'cause I DON'T know but I have met Warner Bros illustrators in here who asserted that they do work as slaves).
Have you talked to people working for Disney yourself? Are they happy?
(I've never seen those sites of disgruntled employees that you mention, wow! Really? )

Oh yeah, type in Disney animation on Google, all that stuff pops up.

Anyway, the reason I know this is because I have a friend who is currently in art school and they are seeking a job at Disney and have been asking around about it. She tells me that she has to start off as an intern, the bottom of the animation food chain. She won't get paid nearly as much as the big animators, but with hard work she'll make it to the top. That's how the animators do it!

Who wouldn't seek a job at Disney.
Oh I bet interns don't get paid much, they're like.. apprentices? What's the word..
And definitely, if you work hard you just can't fail, no matter what you choose to do. But as I said, it's a tough world out there, some can make it in animation, some can't.

Yeah, Disney...er..."people" look for the very best artists, people who have such talent it seems like a freak of nature. You have to be able to draw anything, not just cartoons.
It's my dream now to be a Disney animator just because I'm still a little kid on the inside and Disney movies are the best in the world Although, I'm thinking of becoming a Marine Biologist. Hahahaha, that's kinda random

You have, huh? Well, it's only natural. I wonder what *real* Disney animators could tell us about their job.....
