Personality: Farine is a very reserved mare who gets easily intimidated by strangers and other horses. She is quiet, introverted and loves her routine, so she's definitely not a fan of changes and travelling. It takes a lot of time and patience for someone to gain her trust, but that is a necessary step for her to reach her full potential. Whenever she gets paired up with someone she doesn't trust, Farine holds back a lot as she feels uncomfortable. If the stress becomes too much for her to handle, she shuts down completely.

Background: Farine was bought at only six months old by Hamish Hudson, but the elderly man unfortunately passed away just a few months later. While most of his horses were sold off in an auction and the others given back to their previous owners, Farine was kept by Hudson's son, Tim, who knew how much his father had fallen in love with that little filly, so he didn't want her to get handed to a stranger. Originally thinking he could take care of Farine on his own, Tim realized after a few years that he was overwhelmed with his other horses and projects, so he couldn't give her the attention she clearly needed. That is why he turned to ex-professional eventing trainer Winston Griffith to take care of the young mare for him. After establishing that Farine was in dire need of special care due to her fragile mental health, Winston convinced Tim to give her up to Vallée Bleue knowing that the sanctuary would be exactly what she needed.
