Personality: Serious and intelligent, Star knows her job incredibly well and how to do it to perfection, making her a beginner rider's dream horse. She is patient and kind towards humans, but serious and strict around other horses, though she has a higher tolerance for foals.
Other Notes:
↳ Star is the matriarch of the herd and she was the lead mare before Oogie ’s arrival. These two don’t always see eye-to-eye but they’ve learned to respect each other.
↳ A real grandma, she urges the younger adults to get a move on while dotting on the foals. She has a lot of “back in my days…” stories to share.
↳ She likes her mane kept really short. If it’s too long, she will scratch it and try to tear it herself.
Background: Although Star came from an accidental pregnancy, her original owners never regretted keeping her for she quickly proved to be quite the talented jumper. She started her competitive career in free jumping and hunter, before her calm and level-headed mindset inspired her owners to try her in dressage. At 7 years of age, Star was versatile enough to start competing in eventing shows, under Winston Griffith 's saddle. The two partners had a good career for about nearly a decade until they both retired from the sport together, Winston promptly taking Star to his newly founded Vallée Bleue Equine Sanctuary for her to live the rest of her life peacefully.
