Nope. she's REAL. and, barely manages to beat Azula as the first female "Fire Lord."
(She also has a son whose a general in the United Republic Army named "Iroh.")

Given that Izumi's mother was never revealed in LoK. the Zuko Shippers are free to debate on who she is.
while it is possible her mother could be Mai, the possibility of Jin being her mother can't be ruled out, either.

interesting! though regardless who is or isn't cannon thats what fanfiction is for! and though i like mai jin is a cool possibility too, and i respect the everybodys got there own favs, i.e. Sonic and sally or amy or Archie and betty or varonica ect ect.

I myself have begun a radical project in that sense by completely rewriting the Legend of Korra series
with the concept of: "What If Korra had a childhood friend who fell in love with her?"

although, technically I should say: "What if Avatar Kyoshi gave her husband his own reincarnation cycle?"


same thing applies to my fanfiction series.

some Benders used their gifts to terrorize non-benders.

Why would I jump on you? I support the shipper's right to support the ship they like even if I don't like the ship they support. The only problem I can see with Iroh and Ming is...well...the official site says Ming liked Iroh 'cos he reminded her of her dad.

i think thats cool and actualy i didnt think that you would jump on me its just that alot of readers and fans get wraped up in there shiping battles and i didnt need anyone who was veiwing your worek reading my comment and exploding coments about me and my ship choices... especialy that one person who was like "your not zutara, get him" then after your response they said "ok as long as your not on anyone elses team". i dunno if they were serious but i know ppl who say that stuff and are so i just put it out there so i dont end up needing to report anyone for harassing me lol. but concerning the piece, it was very well done and a beautiful work of art, good job.

Relax...I'm a non-shipper...so I don't prefer anything to Zutara...there's only one ship I'm against...and I actually thought the finale helped it rather than hindered it...Zuko went from 'the face of the Fire Nation' to a flawed human being in need of help in Katara's eyes...but I still don't ship it...
