Though I have not yet delved deap into it yet.... I am finding it very easy to learn.... The preset skys are more like those in bryce, just a bit weak, but the sky tools appear to be quite extensive. It seems to cover most all the bases with imports and exports... With TransPoser added in, it is a near perfect integration tool. Much of the examples do not do the program justice. Modeling, Poser integration, Quick Rendering, Spot Rendering, Material Editing, Skinning tools, and awesome, easy to use animation/sound tools provide what I would call an all in one tool.... It even has great volumetric clouds. I am not that impressed with all that I have seen in the plant department, but I havent given its full work over. It does have a particle system for applying plants to a terrain, and also incorporates kenetics, collision settings, and bones..... I would have to say that this rivals what I have, in working knowledge, to 3D Studio Max, Maya, Lightwave, Bryce, VUE, or Rhino... I also think that the terrain is better than that of Terragen.
If you have Poser and the Serial number, it is worth the $99 to get it from DAZ3D.com
