His only reason for that was not make his father disappointed with him if he started a fight when classmates picked on him. He couldn't stay occupied with one task. In other words, he had ADHD - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Because of that his grades in school kept jumping from good and bad. Though because of ADHD he found a hobby: taking pictures. He could run around and make pictures around the school whenever could and he didn't have to sit on one place and pay attention much.
Even if humans were rude to him and he was bullied, Kazuki is a cheerful guy and sees in everything and everyone positive things, no matter how much he gets hurt. He can trust a person, give his everything into the relationship and even if he would be used or back-stabbed, he thinks there has to be a reason for it, it's not the person's fault, so he forgives them and keeps on believing everyone is kind. Because of his naive side he was used not only once for other people's benefits.

History:
Kazuki was born in a family, where a mother was a half-blood, who died because of losing too much blood when gave birth, and a father is a human.

After his mother's death, Kazuki's father took care of him but kept him at home most of the time, because of only one reason: his blood lust was uncontrollable. Because of that, normal elementary school days were filled with incidents of attacks whenever a student would have a cut or any wound where blood dripped out.
Trying not to 'disappoint' his father, only because he was his only parent and family member, Kazuki kept distance from his classmates and scowled if someone came near him or touched him. But whenever those incidents happened, where he would attack a classmate with a bleeding wound, his father apologized to the school and the student's parents, saying it was just Kazuki's bad behavior; afterwards he was scolded at home.

In middle school his blood lust was more or less under control when drank enough animal blood to satisfy his hunger. Once his male classmates picked a fight with him, mocking him that he kept drinking weird 'juice' he didn't want to share with others, didn't go eat lunch not even once and for having long teeth 'as those blood sucking weirdos'. Being emotional and taking things to his heart, Kazuki answered with a fist to one of the guy's face; everything ended with a fight and a broken nose for Kazuki with bruises.
Being scolded at home afterwards, Kazuki, being emotional and not keeping his thoughts to himself, mumbled loud enough for his father to hear, "Why a vampire should listen to a human?". "You have no right to order me. You're just a human.", such words of course shocked his father, to hear Kazuki saying humans are much worse and lower than vampires.

Near the end of 1st year of high school, his father kept getting complains from parents of Kazuki's classmates, him being rude and insulting their kids, as well as acting 'weird'. As a rumor went around that a school was opened on an isolated island, where all different vampires and humans were enrolled to study together, Kazuki's father purposed to enroll to Ketsuki Academy. Of course, Kazuki wasn't happy about it, going to a school where humans were around vampires, but it was an opportunity to meet other vampires, probably from all around the world. He didn't have friends, so he hoped to get a few once he changed his school, and if the school would help him learn to control his blood lust, it would be even more better.
