Aww, this is so very beautiful!
I love that sepia-look, fits the epoch very well of course! The coloration is magnificent, you have achieved a very nice look here! 
It's a pity I cannot say anything about the transformation of the characters as I have not read Pride and Prejudice, buuuut I find nevertheless that the fashion and hairstyle are very accurate, those two kitties are highly expressive, they have character! You're so great at expressions, you know that already.

Honestly I coloured it very fast XDXD I used pencils to draw it and to do light and shade, Then I scanned it and coloured it with PS using only different tones of gray, then I used the "action" panel in PS to change the color of the lineart and for the sepia-look
I used some photos of the films to take inspirations for the expressions!
