There are times when the joys in life are drown out by the harshness that reality brings. Life is boring, tiring, uncertain and painful. The Magic has left, so that it is spent remembering the unchangeable past, while struggling to survive the present long enough to reach the future, a bright light which never seems to come. No matter how hard one works, it is still difficult to change life, to make things better. Some of this is circumstantial, some of it is simply life’s harshness, and some of it is due to the actions of others. It can make one feel helpless, worthless, and despairing.

Life can clip the wings of one’s soul and cause one to fall.

And that’s when Friends will always be there to catch him, whether one expects them to be or not, to help one get some air under his wings, to sooth the wounds of life, and remind one of his true worth…

So he may once again become Windbourn.
