Description ... I smile for you.

This took 1 and a half strawberry blueberry smoothies, a lesson in French and French history, listening to "Ghosts n' Stuff" by DeadMau5, my new tablet skills, and a lot of tears to draw.

France x Joan of Arc has become one of my OPT's now... It's the only Hetalia pairing that makes me cry ;u;

So I drew Jeanne when she's being burnt at the stake (On May 30th, when she was only 19) And she's smiling for France because of everything they've been through.

I cried while drawing this T^T

I honestly love France as a serious character, and Jeanne brings that seriousness out in him. It's such a sad and tragic pairing, but I love it anyways. And it's the only heterosexual pairing I like with France (SeyFrance = Blargggg...)

Oh, and the French says "Even at the end, I smile for you." Symbolizing that Jeanne is smiling for France even though it's all over for her.

Created on GIMP.

I do not own Joan of Arc's Hetalia character design.

And God lifted not a single finger to save her, just watched as the woman who loved him so much died a horrible, slow and agonizing death ...

He did not save her there but He ultimately saved her. Have hope friends, Jehanne died a horrible death but she died it with grace and in love of God.

It is the finale to her sad tale but the beginning to a beautiful new life beside her beloved Savior.Β  It was not the entrance to Heaven she had hoped for, but it was oneΒ that bound her most closely to God, one that Christians hope they would be able to endure should it happen to them. Well Jehanne did it, she lived and died for God and God probably saidΒ "Well done, my faithful daughter." when it was all over.

It may seem to us that God didn't care but He did and He carried her through her darkest nights and right through those flames until she was safe with Him in Heaven. And look now! Her life is a shining banner of faith and inspiration, would only we be as bold and loving as the dear Maiden was!
