This is a very original and creative photo, inspiring quite a bit of emotion in the viewer. I like the fact that the image is relatively unedited, it gives it a bit more of an organic feel. The interaction of the two characters is quite intriguing, too, it almost makes me wonder what circumstances might have created the scene you are portraying, and even what inspired you to portray it. And lastly, the atmosphere of the background creates the perfect mood for what is taking place. Overall, this is a stunning piece of photography, a beautiful scene, and simply a joy to look at!

This gave me chills, I just finished working on a production of Romeo and Juliet, and this comes eerily close to the blocking we used for Romeo's dying position! I love how the title ties into that idea as well, as right after Romeo dies, Juliet wakes up and sees him dead. This feels like the moment right before she awakes, a moment of dormency.
Sorry for blathering on, but this really inspired me! Great piece.

The piece and the title of it both speak to several themes, and they're artfully blended. Viewers can decide where the dormancy lies, and by that route they can infer a lot from the colors and filters chosen. The dirt/bruising effect around her arm is fantastic, especially since it is echoed on his arm. There is a slight indication of lighting above his head, which plays with the perspective a touch. Its a nice touch, though if it's intentional it's done with a very light hand. There's also the contrast of the sharp creases in the man's shirt with the more curved lines of the woman's dress. In that, you've very much brought to mind some of Klimt's work.
It's definitely not the kind of piece one would hang in a room as a conversation starter, as it really speaks to introspection and private thoughts. But I could definitely see this being part of an inspirational series or gallery exhibit where the viewer is encouraged to thoroughly study the piece.

This is great. I love the peaceful look on his face and how their white clothes really jump out from the back ground. Also love the bird's eye view kind of thing. Really looks surreal and like it could be in another realm.
