I decided to roll with the concept but, as you can see, it went through some changes.
As was to be expected, I'm awful when it comes to coloring, and it shows rather too well in this masterful rendition of Big ol' Ben. It ruins the atmosphere of the image rather nicely...
But, regardless, I still consider it one of my greatest achievements.
Sketched and outlined on a paper about half the size of an A4 (I really don't recognize anything beyond A4, 3 and 2). Then scanned, enlarged and redrawn on an A3 and colored with watercolors.

Such a simple but stark palette... Big Ben adds a sharper contrast to the sky than the cityline alone would have rendered. And it still looks intricate and decorative, so I wouldn't call it a failure~
