Like I said in one of my last pictures, these wild dogs were about half a mile away from the lion that we saw a few minutes earlier together with his buffalo dinner.
At this time, the dogs were rather undecided, but after we returned to them, having our sundowner on the banks of the Luangwa river, the distance between the dogs and the lion was just a few hundred yards.
Now, the dogs had the idea to separate the lion from his kill. You can see how this played out in the next picture.
