And for the comparison:
-The new version looks more solid than the old one.
-The new version has more bright colors than the old one.
-The old version appears to be of higher quality, but scaled down
-The new version's animation is quite funny actually XD

I personally prefer the new one, although not for too much, they are both great

And thanks for telling me. The old one was a resampled version of a larger picture, so the quality does look bad D:
And the 'OʌO' of the old one turned into a 'O.O' due to the resampling too.

Yeah, It's no easy task OAO. To be honest, drawing lineart FROM scaling images is the more horrible part. OAO

That's why you gotta have big lines before you rescale them. :/
But even that doesn't help much... :/

Maybe doing a rough outline above the scaled picture and then the actual outline might help though, I dunno, I've never tried it before :/

I did ^^. It took several layers (like 2-3 of them) to get the best results. But 'best' isn't always perfect Β 
And you probably shouldn't try that. It's a painful process
