This is the Doctor missing Rose. Well, to be more percise, angsting over Rose. He missed his other companions. He angsts over Rose. OMGTHEIRLOVEISSOTRAGIC! *ahem* Yes, as I was saying; Rose is the love of the Doctor's life (that's a 900 year life), but she was torn away from him much too soon by a dimensional void (goddamn void!!!)Anyone who wants to is welcome to color it, as long as you credit me.

He hasn't just loved Rose. You can't say that. There was probably many other girls that he fell for. I don't know, but surely Sarah Jane? And he had a kid so there must have been some love there!
But for one thing, even though everyone knows he loved Rose (Yeah, bring it on Russell T Davies with him never saying it!!

How much do you know about Time Lord culture and biology? Did you ever see old school Who? It seems to me Sarah Jane was more like a little sister to him (she loved him very differently though) Time Lords don't often fall in love. Most never do. They also don't make babies like we do. They make them on machines called looms that weave DNA. Gallifrey was a very chaste and impersonal society. Romance was all but non-existent.

but then again he must have been married - or the galfreian equivilent- to someone to have kids anyway, though never got that coz time lords arent supposed to be able to have kids anyway...
though I do belive that he really loved her - and Russel T Davies is cruel - brillaint but cruel.

Actually, *goes into super-ultra-geek-mode* The first naturally born child on Gallifrey since Rassilon's overthrow of Pithica was born in The House of Lungburrow during the 7th Doctor's era. And Susan was not the result of the Doctor's kids having kids, but the granddaughter of the mysterious figure, the Other. The Other worked with Rassilon and Omega to create time travel, and in a last act of defiance to Rassilon, threw himself into the looms. The Doctor may actually be the genetic reincarnation of the Other. He met Susan when he went back to Gallifrey's past, to the war between Rassilon and Pithica, and she called him Grandfather and it just felt right, so they didn't question it.
As for having loved before; I beleve that, yes, he did love Romana, but not nearly as deeply, truely, and eternally as he loved Rose. Yes, he had a crush on Grace, but the canonocity of that movie is highly questionable anyway.

I bow down to your knloledge - i'm an eight doc girl and all my best facts are there. I wasnt talking about grace anyway - shes just boring I was talking about sam and charlie and scarlett and the masked lady who you never get the name of.
