Hichigo's always catching Ichigo.Horses don't actually catch you if you fall off, unfortunately, but that Hollow has a vested interest in not letting Ichigo die.
(he wants his own horsey)
Drew this as a result of seeing a cool fanart (which the artist drew as a result of seeing a cool fanart, contagious...) it reminded me yesterday, when I was bored, about how awesome the manga is.. (yes I'm up to date) but luckily yeserday I was actually struck with an idea for a pic- this!
If you can't tell, Ichigo is falling. It does look like they're just holding hands, I know, but given the triometry or whatever, and the gravity of it all, it'd be stupid if that wasn't the case. Hopefuly the heavy blur effect (which totally destroys all my hard work on the clouds and building, SOB!) is making you feel like you're falling anyway, (and as such, Ichigo, pyon) BE CONFUSED!
I did pencilled lineart again (traced my original sketch, I call this inking, though you might not, even though it's okay to 'ink with a computer' but not a pencil, go figure / ramble) I feel pencilled lines are messier and as such bleachier.
I forced my sister to hold hands with me for a moment to check perspective, she didn't like it. But thank her anyway, hahah.

Nice. This never came to mind. I always thought of Hichigo helping Ichigo for his own gain, but on this picture, his face tells a completely different story
I think its the windows and building width and Hichigo's chain that gives the illusion that they are just standing holding hands.

It gives me the 'Pssh, yer fallin' again.' vibe from Hichi.
Though I'd be shocked if Hichigo actually had a meaning behind catching him all the time besides 'I need ya alive so I can beat ya and become King.'

such a deep meaning behind those two, you seemed to capture their relationship here very well.
Ichigo's constant fear of falling/failing and how Hichigo always comes out in time to catch him regardless of how hopeless Ichigo feels.
I love how you made it from Ichigo's pov. makes the picture that much more.

I think the major issue here with the "holding hands" issue is that the hands themselves are not gripped very tightly. They look very loose, there's little tension in them at all.

That look on his face is really different from what we use to see from him. I'd expect an evil grinning from him or something like that, but I think it's working this way, too.

Love it. Perspective usually kills me so I envy you for your talent. I especially love the look on Hichigo's face. It's obvious that he's not exactly happy, I mean hating Ichigo and all, but he's not willing to let Ichigo die either... at least not yet. Wants to kill him himself and all that.
