Agreed. I'll have to check it out, I don't remember many places around the borders of skyrim where it isn't completely covered in snow.

I want to say it was east-southeast of Helgen and south of Hrothgar...some of the areas around Riverwood are kind of thick with trees, too, and the areas southeast of Hrothgar and Ivarstead have some thickly treed areas with less snow and more temperate-looking foilage. Thanks for the mod, that's one i still don't have but really ought to. though I did do a bit of exploring in that area [south east of helgen, fort neugrad etc.] and that's on of the places where it's absolutely completely snow-covered. it's a shame the vanilla game doesn't have more dense foresty areas, but i guess it makes sense from an optimisation/performance standpoint not to have proper 'forests'. I think you're right in saying Ivarstead, I don't think there's much snow around there at all.

Such mystical and breathtaking lighting and colors here...I particularly like the way the trees in the foreground are darkened to make the sunlight stand out more. This looks like a path I could walk for miles on.
