an old one (about may 2007) but i liked the WM design.it took me lot of time to create it and then i lost it by my own foolness - forgotten to backup

What theme is this? I'm a hardcore Linux fan myself, and that looks like Linux -- but what theme? Great job on the wallpaper!

The window manager I was using back there (2007) was XFWM4, part of XFCE4.
The window decorations were done as a set of I believe 10 graphics.
Five for the top bar (corner, margin to window title, title background, margin, corner), two graphics for the sides and on the bottom you have two corner graphics and the bottom border. No code involved except a small config file if I remember correctly.

hehe, custom xfwm4 design. i still have it lying around somewhere, but i switched the WM before finishing it, so buttons are still lacking

No, I just deleted it by mistake. I might revamp it when putting up my portfolio, but this might take a few months.

Yeah, it's my first wallpaper with something else than text, so, I find it a little crappy but it's look good when I use it whith conky between Behemoth and the 3 Direct Connect channels.

japp. wobei, wenn ich erstmal meinen neuen rechner kriege, ΓΌberlege ich mir vllt, ob ich nicht doch noch wechsle. bei wmii fehlen mir immer noch sachen, wie die notification area/system tray oder grafiken in der leiste (wenn ich mal zu viel langeweile hab', kopiere ich den teil aus awesome ;D)
