Never one to jump on the bandwagon Pinky decided to star in her own iPod ad......if anyone has any idea how i make the headphone leads smoother please feel free to tell me

Thought I'd come to yours and comment on you sicne you commented for me. If the headphones are vectors, you're not going to get them smoother I'm afraid, unless maybe you made it a pixel thicker... that might work. Or if you created it in a larger file. larger than what you have here and then scaled it down. Sometimes that can help. Sometimes, though, it's a complete failure and makes no difference. *shrugs*

How is it trying to compose photographs using minature models..? I can see it both being harder and easier...

thank you for the advice. i might try to vector it, i just have to load illustrator on my pc.
composing using minatures is fine... the biggest thing i have to deal with is dof... some photos need it some don't but it's only fine tuning on the macro settings

Lol, depth of field is only something I've come to terms with lately, since doing my macro shots that I did for Xmas. What kind of lens do you use..?

i use a canon 50mm or a canon 17-85mm lens. usually the 17-85 one. i'm only learning myself really.
3 months ago i bought an EOS20D... up till then i had a Olympus C5060. majorly different cameras

macro rocks... it's difficult to find originality on dA as far as photography is concerned... the few million plus accounts are known to all and everyone wants to be the same. on the other hand i have seen some awesome macro work on 5k pv accounts that the majority never look for... it's a shame.

Macro is great... but I don't have the lens needed to do it. I'd love a good macro lens. *shrugs* oh well. I can do it to an extent with my digital, but the quality isn't as good as with my SLR. I'd like a digital SLR as well.
A lot of people on here are learners, and there are so many people on here that are really good... but are lost in the masses. How is one meant to be noticed amongst so many?

it falls to us as community members to promote the great work we find along the way. if every one of us featured a deviant we came across and admired every week a lot of great work would be more widely recognised...

It doesn't help that it's so hard to recommend a piece to the admins. I've recommended a couple of pieces and a couple of my notes havent even been read yet.
I also find that though a lot of the time the art that is featured is highly commendable, sometimes... you can find better stuff on the little guys... who just aren't noticed, or are swept away in the masses. God I wish I was good enough to have a DD. It would make me happy. Lol, then agai, I'm not sure if I've done anythign worthy of a DD yet.

i've never recommended anything to be submitted as a DD. getting a DD isn't everything. sure it would be nice but the most rewarding thing i have got from here is the friendships i have made amongst my watchers and the people i watch. there are some damn good people on here

haha... the friends will come! trust me... the more time and effort you put in to it the more you will get out of it! i am serious about what i do in a very tongue in cheek way but the friendships are as important as the art...

oh and btw, i found to make the leads smoother, use those lines that you can bend and stuff (cant remember the name) and it may take about 5 minutes or a bit more to get it all right, but its worth it in the end. id use thickness level 1
