•A• Major Motoko Kusanagi's data ports from Ghost in the Shell.
•Q• Did it hurt?
•A• Not a bit. I actually fell asleep a few times during the tattoo. I thank Alin for being so very patient with me. ^_^
•Q• Why would you get an anime tattoo?
•A• It isn't just an anime tattoo to me. I am a computer geek and always have been. I wanted to get USB ports tattooed on me a long time before i saw Stand Alone Complex... but i really fell in-love with the design. ^_^

I've actually have been concidering getting the exact same tattoo! I looked through every episode, film and manga and could not find any of Batou's data plugs but Motoko's have always been very cool aswell. AWESOME TAT!!

I am thinking of a specific scene that shows Batou's. When I find my DVDs I shall see if I can find them for you.
I decided to vary mine ever so slightly from hers so I can tell when people actually used screen caps to get theirs or when they copied my DA. I don't mind, I just like to know. ^_^ haha.

Wow, this is awesome. Deviant profile creation effort just to pass comment on. Been dithering what tattoo to get for over 10 years >_< Not cost/pain reasons but picking something to like forever. Although your reasons are for more, seeing this has inspired me to get an anime tattoo, being that it is the only constant thing I enjoy and Ghost in the Shell is my favourite movie. Either data ports or Hellsing crest.

Also, Ghost in The Shell is probbaly (IMO) one of the best Anime's out there. It may be old, but it NEVER loses its charm.

Yknow, as much as I cringe at the words "Anime" and "Hollywood" put together, my expectations of it are not that low. (surprisingly.) Its Spielberg, (he usually does good movies.)plus, The matrix, (if you pay close attention,) Is basically a biiig GiTS rip off. (look it up on youtube- they outright stole some ideas, AND scenes!)And Matrix was pretty good. So I think its chances are about 50/50... maybe 40/50, considering the bad rep Hollywood has for these kinds of adaptations...

Yeah, I knew that about the Matrix and ghost in the shell. It all hinges on the actors, if it isn't entirely a computer animated work (like the final fantasy spirits within movie). If they get someone like Jessica Alba to play the Major I am gonna be pissed beyond all belief... I may just have to shoot Spielberg. haha. Everything else has pretty much been done in movies before so it should be possible.
If they take much longer on it, I'll be old enough to play the major! haha.
