Description DERPHERPDERP! I'm not a professional but I can give some guidelines for those who are begginners of drawing, to point out a few important things about cats.
So your cats don't look like dogs, squirrels or elephants.

Also people forget that there are many types of cats, tons of animals share similar tails ,ears, eyes and they're not 'copyright to only one certain species'.

I have been planning to do these for a few animals I know rather well, cats, bunnies, foxes :'3 Maybe I have to research hedgehogs for Plus1's sake hahah

That nose is perfect (not going for that obvious joke) anyways I love it. I know I've always had the toughest time trying to get just the right nose.

All cats should haha
It's their body language, just like we smile when we're happy, would be odd to see someone frown when happy x)

Thank you, this is really useful! ; u ;
When it comes to animals, I have drawn too much canines and that's why I find it really hard to draw cats, especially their "faces".

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Neotheta In reply to xCastra [2012-03-05 18:54:07 +0000 UTC]

Ive noticed that a lot of canid-mostly artists have really big issues with drawing felines.
Especially when it comes to headshape, sizes of noses, and body struckture, and also their body language (as cats never wag their tail when they are happy, instead they lift it straight up)

So I thought something like this might be useful

I used to have issues when drawing canines too once, especially the long muzzles, was so hard to apply any emotions on before :'3

xCastra In reply to Neotheta [2012-03-06 09:25:27 +0000 UTC]

I agree. Especially those who have not been able to see much real cats 8'I
My both grandmothers have had a cat (and the other still has), so I still remember the main body-language-things.
Haha, yeah, I have seen cat wagging their tail only when they were extremely irritated or trying to catch a pray.

But yes, I bet many people will find this useful C:
