This is more directed at FA where the commissioning culture is massive and there are plenty problems with language barriers and lazyness among the artists, or cases like me who have trouble picturing things in my head from text only.

And this doesn't only work for those who want art, but also artists, if you are taking commissions from description but have trouble sometimes, making a simple ref for yourself like this helps and isn't timetaking! I've done it too in the past :3

Of course, if your character is very simple, such as a wolf, fox or a cat, there are many free bases in the internet that are ment for creating the first reference for your character!

But the actual message is, references do not need to be detailed or artistic, the simpler the better!
