Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places...but I've noticed there's a distinct lack of quilava (or any of its other evos, for that matter) fanart that doesn't have the flames lit on them.So...I drew this. It originally started out as just the quilava in front...then the other one was added (and I made that one 'shiny' just because, well, odd colored pokemon are neat). I dunno why I made it a sunset scene...that was just how it started to appear in my head...
Special thanks to for showing me how to do his fur texture technique (even though I think I smudged a bit too much when I did it
) and for providing the actual fur texture that I used.I dunno if it looks this why to anybody else...but the quilavas look sorta like plushies to me.

There really should be more calm looking Quilava out there, they really are cute and squissy looking things.
